Prioritize Government Healthcare Facilities, Urges CMO

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Anand Upadhyay has strongly appealed to the residents of the district to prioritize their health. He urged them to seek treatment only at government hospitals and health centers during any illness or emergency.

Dr. Upadhyay clarified that government institutions provide medical services that meet standards, supported by trained specialist doctors, essential equipment, and medicines. He emphasized that protecting patient interests is the department's highest priority.

Concerns Over Private Healthcare Practices

Dr. Upadhyay expressed concern that many individuals opt for private institutions without verifying the doctor's educational qualifications, registration, or the hospital's authenticity. He warned that numerous private hospitals charge exorbitant fees despite lacking adequate resources.

Therefore, he advised patients and their families to gather all necessary information before deciding on treatment. Patients and their relatives must ensure they receive proper and certified medical care.

Government Health Services Fully Equipped

The CMO stated that government hospitals in the district have specialist doctors and experienced surgeons readily available. All critical facilities, including emergency treatment, surgical operations, blood availability, essential tests, medicines, and referral services, are accessible here.

He stressed that government health institutions are fully capable of treating even the most critical patients. The infrastructure and medical expertise are designed to handle complex medical cases effectively.

Strict Action Against Irregular Private Hospitals

The Health Department will soon launch a comprehensive inspection campaign against hospitals that deviate from standards and violate regulations. Hospitals located on Masani Road will be particularly subjected to intense scrutiny.

Dr. Upadhyay made it clear that any irregularities found will result in the strictest possible action against the concerned hospitals, in accordance with the law. He urged citizens to consider their lives and their families' safety as paramount.

In any situation of illness or emergency, citizens are advised to seek treatment at the nearest government hospital, community health center, primary health center, or Ayushman Arogya Mandir. Furthermore, an appeal was made to raise awareness among others to seek treatment only in safe and certified medical institutions.
