Free Eye Check-up in Guna: 70 Patients Examined, 30 to Regain Sight

Free Eye Care Camp Held in Guna

Guna, September 6, 2026 – The District Blindness Control Committee, in collaboration with the Rotary Club Guna and Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Anandpur, organized a free eye check-up camp. The event was held in memory of the late father of Rotary Secretary, Shailesh Gupta, Mr. Brijesh Kumar Gupta.

The camp, conducted at the Rotary Bhavan, saw over 70 patients undergo eye examinations. Subsequently, 30 patients were identified for cataract surgery. Specialists from Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya, Lateri, led by Dr. Deepak Singh and his team, conducted the medical evaluations. These 30 individuals are expected to regain their sight following the operations.

The inauguration of the camp was marked by Rotary President Shyam Agrawal, Secretary Shailesh Gupta, senior Rotarians Shikhar Chand Jain and Shambhunath Tiwari, Camp Convener Vikas Jain Nakhrali, and Engineer Sanjeev Garg, who offered garlands and lit a lamp before a portrait of Goddess Saraswati.

The successful execution of the camp was a collaborative effort. The Sadguru team included Nitesh Sen, Camp In-charge Jeetu Pathak, Santosh Namdev, Milan Baghel, Vaibhav Gupta, and Abhishek Suman. Members of the Rotary Club also actively participated, embodying the principle of 'Service to humanity is service to God' (Nar Seva hi Narayan Seva).

Camp Convener Vikas Jain Nakhrali also stated that in addition to the eye examinations, patients were provided with free medicines and spectacles. The organization also arranged for free accommodation and meals for the patients during their treatment period.
