Foxconn Expands Presence in Tamil Nadu
A Foxconn delegation, led by Robert Wu, India representative and senior global executive, met Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday, October 13, 2025, to announce a ₹15,000-crore investment in Tamil Nadu. The project is expected to create 14,000 high-value engineering jobs and strengthen the State’s position as a global manufacturing and innovation hub.
Tamil Nadu Minister for Industries T.R.B. Rajaa and top officials from the State’s investment promotion agency, Guidance Tamil Nadu, were also present.
First-Ever Foxconn Desk in India
Foxconn will establish its first-ever India Desk at Guidance Tamil Nadu to facilitate faster coordination, mission-mode project engagement, and investor support.
The new initiative signals Foxconn’s shift toward value-added manufacturing, R&D integration, and AI-led operations, including strategic verticals such as battery technologies and advanced tech manufacturing systems.
