Four Bareilly Police Stations Honored for Cybercrime Control Excellence

Bareilly district has honored four police stations for their remarkable performance in preventing cybercrimes and ensuring swift resolution of received complaints. This recognition comes as part of the monthly cybercrime evaluation system, operating under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya.

Following a thorough review of the work undertaken by all station house officers and formed cyber teams in the district during September 2026, the decision was made. The primary objective of this evaluation was to strengthen cybercrime prevention, effectively resolve complaints, and reinforce law and order.

The stations that demonstrated exceptional performance in cybercrime control during the review were Bithiri Chainpur, Bhuta, Sirauli, and Hafizganj. The cyber teams from these stations achieved notable success by adopting a high-quality methodology in resolving complaints.

Superintendent of Police (South) Anshika Verma presented certificates of appreciation to the station in-charges of these four stations and the police personnel nominated for the cyber cell at her office. She lauded the dedicated efforts of the honored personnel, stating that curbing cybercrimes is a current priority.

“Cybercrime prevention is a priority. We are proud of the work done by these stations and encourage continued quality performance.”

Verma congratulated all recipients and encouraged them to maintain similar quality work practices in the future. Police officials believe that such honors will foster a competitive spirit among teams in other police stations to enhance their efficiency.

This commitment from the police towards cybersecurity is proving instrumental in reducing digital crimes within the district and resolving the grievances of ordinary citizens in a timely manner. The police department will continue to assess station performance based on similar parameters in the coming months, aiming to effectively curb the activities of cybercriminals.
