Former Minister Surendra Choudhary Raises Public Issues Before Collector, Demands Timely Resolution

Public Grievances Raised at Block-Level Camp

As part of the Chief Minister's Jan Vishwas Abhiyan, a block-level camp was organized in Karrapur, Narayavali assembly constituency. Here, former Madhya Pradesh Minister Surendra Choudhary, accompanied by Congress workers, strongly presented various pressing public issues of the region before Collector Pratibha Pal.

He demanded prompt and impartial resolution of pending complaints, accusing the government and administration of merely going through the motions. Former Minister Choudhary specifically drew attention to irregularities in resolving CM Helpline complaints within the Nagar Parishad Karrapur, payment of fake bills, and deficiencies in basic amenities like the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme, water supply, electricity, roads, and drainage.

Furthermore, he called for an impartial investigation into pre-existing pending complaints related to violations of the Madhya Pradesh Municipalities Act 1961, Madhya Pradesh Financial Code, and prevailing government rules, and demanded action against the guilty as per regulations.

Ending Formalities of Just Accepting Applications at Camps

Shri Choudhary emphasized that the true objective of public hearings and Jan Vishwas camps would only be achieved when the problems of the common people are resolved in a timely, impartial, and effective manner. He stated that villagers and the general public have long been forced to visit government offices to get their issues resolved.

In such a scenario, he insisted that the mere formality of accepting applications at these camps should cease. The former minister suggested that instead of just performing the ritual of accepting applications, the government and administration should ensure action by conducting on-site inspections with the concerned officials, thereby preventing the public from being compelled to submit applications repeatedly.

Clear Timelines to be Set for Problem Resolution

Former Minister Shri Choudhary further urged the Collector to set a clear timeline for monitoring each problem and application received at the camp, along with sending it to the relevant department. He also demanded that the complainant be regularly updated on the status of complaint resolution.

Shri Choudhary asserted that it is the paramount responsibility of the administration to ensure that the benefits of schemes reach eligible beneficiaries and that the problems of the common people are resolved. On this occasion, Shri Choudhary submitted an eight-point memorandum to the Collector, detailing various basic problems, along with letters from Congress party councilors and related to previously pending complaints.

He demanded the immediate resolution of basic problems and impartial investigation into complaints of irregularities, followed by action against the guilty, to further strengthen public faith in the administration. A large number of Congress workers and residents of the area were present on this occasion, including Block Congress President Pushpendra Singh Thakur, Congress leader Devendra Patel, former Sarpanch Vishal Singh, Awadhesh Singh, Mandal Congress President Sarfaraz Pathan, Councilors Mohan Ahirwar, Niklank Jain, Kadam Singh, Motilal Kurmi, Advocate Brajendra Ahirwar, Gautam Chand, Sahendra Rathore, Azad Singh, Ranjeet Ahirwar, Ram Avtar Singh, and Subhash Ahirwar.
