Prayagraj Grapples with Rising River Levels

The continuous rise in the water levels of the Ganga and Yamuna in Prayagraj has completely submerged the Sangam area. Floodwaters have now spread to the roads in the city's lower-lying parts, disrupting normal movement. Residents are resorting to boats to travel between locations.

Authorities have advised people living near the riverbanks to evacuate to safer locations immediately and have increased patrolling in sensitive zones. The rural areas of Prayagraj are facing an even more dire impact from the floods.
