A deeply disturbing incident has emerged from the Thana Kamalgang area of Farrukhabad, where a father allegedly murdered his sick infant daughter and concocted a scheme to frame his neighbors.
Police have revealed the case and arrested the accused father, Babloo Jatav. Preliminary investigations and the post-mortem report confirm that the 1.5-year-old Jigyasa died due to strangulation, not from the stone-pelting incident that the father had claimed caused her death.
Details of the Incident
The incident occurred on the night of July 20. Babloo Jatav, a resident of Gugoura village, had taken his ill daughter Jigyasa to Lohia Hospital with his wife, Khushboo. After returning from the hospital, Babloo allegedly strangled the child to death.
He then informed the police, claiming his daughter had died from stone-pelting by neighbors. Based on Khushboo's complaint, a case was registered against neighbors Babloo son of Ram Prakash, Surendra son of Anuplal, Mansaram son of Rajendra, and Ankit son of Ram Prakash, alleging murder through stone-pelting due to an old rivalry.
Post-Mortem Report Exposes False Claims
Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene and sent the body for post-mortem. The post-mortem report confirmed that the infant's death was caused by strangulation and there were no serious injuries on her body indicative of stone impacts. This report exposed the father's claims.
Debt-Ridden Father Confesses
As the police intensified their investigation and took Babloo into custody for questioning, he confessed to his crime. During interrogation, Babloo revealed that his daughter had been ill for a long time, and he had incurred significant debt for her treatment.
This financial strain and depression led him to strangle his daughter. He fabricated the false story of stone-pelting to implicate his neighbors. The police have arrested the accused, Babloo Jatav, and initiated further legal proceedings.
It is noteworthy that the accused had previously lost another child to illness. Police are investigating other aspects of the case to rule out any possibilities.
