Alleged Firing Incident on Highway

Farrukhabad experienced a stir following reports of an alleged firing incident between occupants of a car and motorcycles on the Etawah-Bareilly Highway, within the jurisdiction of Qadri Gate police station. Both the car occupants and the bikers reportedly fled the scene after the incident.

The incident is said to have occurred near the Central Jail intersection. A passerby discovered an empty bullet casing at the scene, which was initially handed over to a local shopkeeper before being presented to the police.

Police Investigation Underway

Upon receiving information, police from Qadri Gate police station and the Central Jail outpost promptly arrived at the location and commenced an investigation. The empty bullet casing recovered from the scene has been seized by the police.

Considering the seriousness of the incident, police are actively reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding cameras to ascertain the facts. Security agencies believe that the footage could help identify the accused and uncover the motive behind the incident.

Station House Officer's Statement

When contacted, Station House Officer of Qadri Gate police station, Kapil Kumar, stated that the matter had not yet come to his attention. He assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted as soon as it was brought to his notice.

Currently, the police are searching for both parties involved to confirm the incident and take action against the perpetrators. Reports of such incidents on the Etawah-Bareilly Highway raise concerns about the security arrangements in the area.
