Principal Suspended Amidst Financial Irregularities

Anil Kumar Singh, the Principal of Mahatma Gandhi Inter College in Rajepur, Farrukhabad, has been suspended with immediate effect by the management committee due to allegations of serious financial irregularities and violation of service rules. The decision was made during a management committee meeting held on August 30, 2026.

Charges of Financial Mismanagement

The Principal is accused of failing to provide original records detailing fees collected against the number of students enrolled from the academic session 2013-14 to the present. Furthermore, the statement of accounts for the school's income and expenditure has also not been submitted. Details of funds received and annual expenditure for the Atal Tinkering Lab operating within the school have also been withheld, leading to concerns of financial discrepancies.

Serious Service Rule Violations Alleged

The management committee has leveled several severe charges against the Principal, including gross misconduct, defiance of the manager's orders, failure to present school records for inspection, dereliction of duty, misappropriation of funds, and illegal fee collection. These serious allegations have prompted the issuance of this suspension order.

Inquiry Committee Formed

To ensure a fair investigation into the matter, the management committee has constituted a three-member inquiry committee. Order Kumar Singh, Mahesh Chandra Singh, and Dinesh Pratap Singh have been appointed as inquiry officers. Principal Anil Kumar Singh will be issued a separate charge sheet, instructing him to present his case before the inquiry committee as per regulations.

Terms of Suspension

During the suspension period, the Principal will receive a subsistence allowance as per rules. He is required to obtain prior permission before leaving the headquarters and is prohibited from tampering with any evidence or records. His entry into the school premises during the suspension period is also barred without prior authorization.

Administrative Adjustments

Copies of this order have been forwarded to the Joint Director of Education (Secondary), Kanpur Division, District School Inspector, Farrukhabad, the Accounts Officer, and the Acting Principal. Virendra Kumar Singh has been directed to assume the responsibilities of Acting Principal to ensure the smooth functioning of the school.
