Farrukhabad: Key Meeting on Entrepreneur Issues, Strict Orders to Remove Encroachments

District-Level Meeting Held for Entrepreneurs and Traders

A significant district-level meeting of the Industry Bandhu and Trade Bandhu was convened in the Collectorate Auditorium, Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad, under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lathar on September 24, 2026. The primary objective of this meeting was to find solutions to the various problems faced by entrepreneurs and traders, and to review the progress of government schemes.

The District Magistrate emphasized during the meeting that the welfare of entrepreneurs and traders is the government's highest priority. During the session, a thorough review of the implementation progress of the Invest Mitra portal, Chief Minister's Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign Scheme, Chief Minister's Youth Employment Scheme, and the One District One Product Financing Scheme was conducted.

The District Magistrate directed the concerned officials to ensure the immediate disposal of all pending applications on a priority basis. This is to ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach eligible entrepreneurs in a timely manner.

Tackling Encroachments and Stray Cattle

The District Magistrate took a serious note of the growing problem of illegal encroachments on city roads and the presence of stray cattle. He issued clear instructions to the Executive Officers to launch a special campaign and take effective action against these issues. The District Magistrate also clarified that Gopals (cattle rearers) found abandoning animals on the roads will be fined as per regulations, to curb this problem.

Coordination to Combat Monkey Menace

Additionally, the meeting discussed solutions to the problems faced by citizens due to the menace of monkeys. The District Magistrate instructed the Municipality and the Forest Department to establish mutual coordination and launch a joint campaign to tackle the monkey problem. He warned that officials found to be negligent in this matter would be held accountable.

The District Magistrate also appealed to the attending traders to cooperate with the administration in making the public aware of stray animals and establishing a clean and safe market system. Regarding illegal encroachments, he clarified that during actions to remove encroachments from public places, if traders are found to be illegally encroaching even after sensitizing temporary shopkeepers, the concerned shopkeeper will be fined ₹500.

Officials from various departments, representatives of Industry and Trade Bandhu, and numerous traders attended the meeting.
