Review Meeting Held in Farrukhabad

A significant review meeting concerning the district's development programs and law and order was held under the chairmanship of Jayveer Singh, the In-Charge Minister for Tourism and Culture Department, Uttar Pradesh. The meeting took place in the Collectorate Auditorium, Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad.

Present at the meeting were prominent figures including Monika Yadav, District Panchayat Chairperson; Dr. Surabhi, MLA from Kaimganj; Sushil Shakya, MLA from Amritpur; Nagendra Singh Rathore, MLA from Bhojpur; and Fatehchand Verma, District President of BJP, along with other dignitaries.

Assessment of Development Schemes and Relief Efforts

The primary objective of the meeting was to conduct a detailed, department-wise assessment of various development schemes, construction projects, public welfare initiatives, and the prevailing law and order situation in the district. Jayveer Singh specifically commended the efforts of District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lather in relief operations for flood-affected areas, distribution of relief amounts to flood victims, and the process of allocating land leases.

The District Magistrate provided comprehensive details of the relief works undertaken by the district administration in flood-affected regions. He informed that relief amounts are being provided to those whose houses were damaged in the floods, as per government directives. Furthermore, arrangements are being made to allocate land leases from Gram Samaj land to families who have lost their homes.

Emphasis on Effective Implementation of Welfare Schemes

At the outset of the meeting, the In-Charge Minister distributed acceptance letters to beneficiaries of various schemes being implemented in the district. He issued strict instructions to officials to ensure that the benefits of public welfare schemes reach all eligible beneficiaries within the stipulated timeframe and with complete transparency, in line with the government's intent.

He placed special emphasis on maintaining quality in development works and completing them on time, so that the general public can benefit from these projects at the earliest. The minister also directed that contact numbers of field officers deployed in flood-affected areas be shared in the respective villages.

Targeted Health and Infrastructure Initiatives

He ordered the health department to ensure complete coverage of children in flood-affected areas and at the block level through deworming medication and vaccinations, by conducting special campaigns. He also stressed the importance of providing uninterrupted electricity supply for agricultural activities in rural areas for 09 to 10 hours during the day.

Instructions were also given to repair damaged power lines and connectors within the stipulated time after receiving notification. The In-Charge Minister further directed that a list of under-construction projects like ANM Centers, PHC Centers, and Trauma Centers that have been completed, be provided immediately. He instructed all concerned agencies to strive to complete their targeted construction works by December 2026.

Additionally, he directed that a list of roads in the district that have been made pothole-free be provided to the elected representatives. The minister warned that any negligence in development-related works at any level in the district would not be tolerated. He urged departmental officials to regularly review their respective departmental schemes and ensure swift resolution of any obstacles to progress. He also emphasized the effective and prompt resolution of public grievances to provide relief to citizens.

Maintaining Peace and Law and Order

Reviewing the law and order situation, the In-Charge Minister instructed police and administrative officials to work in coordination to maintain peace and order in the district. He ordered necessary steps to be taken for effective crime control, quality disposal of pending cases, and strengthening the sense of security among the public. Special vigilance was also directed in sensitive areas.

At the conclusion of the meeting, District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lather provided the In-Charge Minister with detailed information on the ongoing development programs, the progress of various schemes, and the current law and order situation in the district. He assured that the effective implementation of all development and public welfare schemes is being ensured in line with the government's priorities.

Present at the meeting were Superintendent of Police Mrs. Aarti Singh, Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) Dinesh Kumar, Chief Medical Officer Anand Upadhyay, District Development Officer Shyam Kumar Tiwari, Project Director DRDA Kapil Kumar, District Economics and Statistics Officer Virendra Kumar, District Tourism Officer Dr. Maqbool, and all concerned officers of the district.
