Farrukhabad GRP Apprehends Youth With Stolen Mobile

The Railway Police (GRP) in Farrukhabad, actively ensuring passenger safety at the railway station, has apprehended a youth in possession of a stolen mobile phone. The arrest occurred during routine patrolling by the GRP team at Farrukhabad Junction, causing concern among criminals operating in the railway premises.
Youth Apprehended During Patrol
According to information, the GRP team, led by In-charge Inspector Dinesh Prakash Sharma, was on patrol on Platform Number Five of Farrukhabad Junction on Sunday. They received a tip-off that a youth was loitering near the railway tracks with the intention of selling a stolen mobile phone.
Upon receiving the information, the police team immediately cordoned off the area and apprehended the suspicious youth. A search of the youth yielded one stolen mobile phone.
Investigation Underway
During police interrogation, the youth was identified as Santosh, son of Sarvesh, a resident of Gram Chaudhariyapur, Police Station Sawaijpur, District Hardoi. The police have registered a case against the accused Santosh under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and initiated further legal proceedings. Additional charges have also been added to the case based on the recovery.
Passenger Safety is Paramount: GRP In-charge
"The safety of railway passengers is the top priority of the police, and it is our responsibility," stated In-charge Inspector Dinesh Prakash Sharma. He emphasized that any form of criminal activity within the station premises will not be tolerated. The GRP is making efforts to curb crime in the railway area through continuous patrolling and checking of suspicious individuals.
He also appealed to passengers to remain vigilant about their valuables, especially mobile phones. Passengers are advised to report any suspicious person or activity to the GRP immediately so that necessary action can be taken in a timely manner.
