DM Reviews Development Projects in Rajepur Block

During a special employment generation day campaign under the 'Viksit Bharat-G Ram Ji' scheme in Rajepur development block, Farrukhabad, District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lathar conducted a thorough visit to Gram Panchayat Gandhi. He assessed ongoing development works on-site and personally operated a shovel, participating in Shramdaan alongside the workers present.

Key officials including the Chief Development Officer, District Project Director, and Block Development Officer were also present. The District Magistrate engaged directly with the women workers at Gram Panchayat Gandhi, including Rama Devi, Vimla, and Kajal. The workers reported receiving their daily wages of three hundred rupees regularly credited to their bank accounts.

The Gram Rozgar Sevak presented details of the ongoing construction of a nine hundred thirty-seven-meter long asphalt road from Nausara to Dahelia. The project, estimated to cost two lakh fifty-four thousand three hundred twenty-seven rupees, is expected to generate approximately seven hundred ninety man-days of employment. The District Magistrate issued clear directives to maintain high-quality standards and complete the construction within the stipulated timeframe.

An Additional Programme Officer informed that one hundred thirty-two development projects are currently underway across the eighty-one Gram Panchayats in Rajepur. This initiative aims to bolster rural infrastructure and employment opportunities.

Immediate Repair Ordered for Damaged e-Waste Processing Center

Following the inspection of development works, District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lathar also visited the RRC (Solid Waste Processing and Management) Center in Gram Sherakhar Gontiya. The Gram Sachiv informed him that the center had been significantly damaged due to recent floods.

Considering the damage, the District Magistrate instructed the concerned officials to initiate repair work immediately to ensure the smooth continuation of solid waste management processes. This prompt action is crucial for maintaining environmental hygiene and operational efficiency.

Satisfaction with Panchayat Bhavan Services, Emphasis on Expansion

Furthermore, the District Magistrate inspected the Panchayat Bhavan in Kamaluddinpur and expressed satisfaction with the provision of public services. The Panchayat Sahayak stated that under the Common Service Center, villagers are being provided with three hundred seven types of government services for a nominal fee of thirty rupees.

A detailed review was conducted on the progress of important tasks such as Farmer Registry, issuance of Family IDs, and birth and death registrations. The District Magistrate directly contacted farmers via phone who had not yet completed their Farmer Registry. After understanding the obstacles faced by the farmers, he assured them of their resolution.

Upon being informed about the issues hindering the reconstruction of the RRC Center by the Gram Pracharak, the District Magistrate directed the District Panchayat Raj Officer to address this matter on a priority basis. This ensures that essential infrastructure is restored swiftly.

Ensuring Benefits Reach the Last Person, Strengthening Transparency

District Magistrate Dr. Lathar emphasized that the benefits of all public welfare schemes implemented in rural areas must genuinely reach the intended beneficiaries. He highlighted the need to further strengthen sanitation systems and enhance the transparency of services provided at the Panchayat level.

The District Magistrate issued a stern warning to officials found negligent at any level regarding these matters, clarifying that any lapse in addressing public grievances will not be tolerated. He instructed officials to maintain regular inspections and continuous monitoring to ensure that positive outcomes of rural development are clearly visible on the ground.
