Surprise Inspection of Development Projects
Farrukhabad | September 19, 2026
Following the completion of the Tehsil Samadhan Diwas, Farrukhabad's District Magistrate, Dr. Ankur Lathur, conducted a surprise inspection to assess the quality and progress of various development projects underway in the district. The inspection covered the Khandauli Cow Shelter in the Rajepur block of Amritpur Tehsil and the Panchayat Ghar in Pithanapur village.
Emphasis on Cattle Protection and Expansion
During the surprise inspection of the Khandauli Cow Shelter, the District Magistrate directed officials to undertake dense afforestation within the premises and ensure the conservation of the planted saplings. He specifically instructed that female calves from the shelter be handed over to underprivileged, malnourished families to ensure children receive nutritious food, a significant step towards improving their nutritional levels.
The cow shelter currently houses 263 cattle, and instructions were given to ensure their ear tagging. The District Magistrate also strictly advised separating sick animals from healthy ones to prevent the spread of any infection. He personally observed the current condition of the cattle and fed them jaggery and chickpeas. The availability of 33 quintals of green fodder and 68 quintals of straw was confirmed.
Inauguration of New Library at Pithanapur Panchayat Ghar
After inspecting the cow shelter, the District Magistrate visited the Panchayat Ghar in Pithanapur village. He formally inaugurated the newly constructed library by cutting a ribbon. The library management was instructed to maintain adequate lighting and pay special attention to cleanliness within the premises.
He stated that a list of books should be displayed at the main entrance to allow villagers easy access to information and encourage the optimal utilization of the library. During his visit, he directed the Village Head to ensure the Farmer Registry for all farmers in the village is completed 100%.
Accelerating Development Work
The District Magistrate issued strict instructions to local officials for the timely execution of all development systems to maintain momentum in development work and ensure its benefits reach the common citizens.
