DM Conducts Surprise Inspection at District Women's Hospital

Farrukhabad District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lather conducted a surprise inspection of the District Women's Hospital on Sunday. During the visit, she thoroughly reviewed the hospital's health services and overall arrangements.

Review of Wards and Patient Facilities

The District Magistrate meticulously inspected the women's ward, pediatric ward, and the SNCU (Sick Newborn Care Unit). She gathered information from doctors and relevant officials regarding the facilities being provided to patients.

Addressing Pediatric Ward Staffing and Treatment

During the inspection of the pediatric ward, the District Magistrate instructed the immediate dispatch of a demand letter to the government for the essential staffing of sanctioned positions. She stated that until new appointments are made at the government level, newborns and children must receive timely treatment with the cooperation of the pediatricians currently posted at the women's hospital. These instructions aim to ensure continuity in the healthcare of children.

SNCU Resources and Operation Theatre Inspection

After observing the status of resources in the SNCU ward, the District Magistrate ordered the swift completion of the process to procure necessary equipment and resources from the discretionary fund. While inspecting the operation theatre, she directed that the list of surgeons performing surgeries according to the roster be clearly displayed. This measure is intended to ensure that patients and their families can easily access information about the concerned physicians.

Emphasis on Quality Healthcare Services

District Magistrate Dr. Lather instructed the hospital administration to ensure cleanliness, availability of medicines, regular attendance of doctors and medical staff, and timely, quality treatment for patients. She emphasized that negligence in healthcare services at any level will not be tolerated. She also clarified that providing better health facilities to patients is the top priority of the district administration.
