Farhan Akhtar Confirms Don 3 Shoot Begins January 2026

Farhan Akhtar has officially confirmed that filming for Don 3 will begin in January 2026. Speaking exclusively, the filmmaker explained the reason behind the delay, saying he was occupied with acting commitments for 120 Bahadur. “Now that the film has been released, I can finally think of getting behind the camera,” he shared.

Akhtar also revealed that Ranveer Singh will play the titular role in the rebooted franchise. “We decided on Ranveer from the outset. But the rest of the casting took time,” he said, adding that he isn’t allowed to disclose additional cast members yet.

When asked whether he prefers acting or directing, Farhan replied, “Honestly, both. I never felt it had to be either-or. When I’m acting, I’m fully into it. When I’m directing, I don’t take on acting assignments.”

The highly anticipated Don 3 is expected to go on floors early next year, with more casting updates likely to be revealed soon.
