Fake Milk and Ghee Factory Busted in Mandsaur; Palm Oil, Powder Seized

Factory Uncovered in Garoth Area

In a significant operation in Khejadiya Bhup village, under the jurisdiction of Garoth police station in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur district, police have dismantled a suspected factory manufacturing fake milk and ghee. Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided a house where the illicit operation was taking place.

The sudden action by the police caused panic among the factory operators and those present at the scene. Police sources indicate that the factory was allegedly being run from the homes of individuals named Peerusingh and Ramsingh.

Materials Seized and Investigation Launched

During the raid, police confiscated several sacks of powder used for milk production, palm oil for making ghee, large blue drums, containers, and other related materials. These items have been seized and an investigation has commenced.

Concerns Raised Over Food Safety and Child Health

Samples of the seized materials have been collected and will be sent to the food laboratory for testing. The test reports will determine if the materials met quality standards and the nature of the milk and ghee produced. This discovery is particularly concerning for families whose children may consume such products.

According to experts, if adulterated or substandard milk reaches children, it can lead to severe health issues such as stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, infections, and food poisoning. Prolonged consumption of such inferior food items can also adversely affect children's nutrition and overall health.

History of Similar Actions in the Region

This is not the first time that an illicit milk trade has been exposed in the Suvasra region. Local sources report that similar actions against milk-related activities were carried out in the Chachawada Pathari and Kotla Bujurg areas approximately three months ago.

The persistent occurrence of such incidents in the area raises serious questions about milk quality and the monitoring systems for food products. Following the recent raid in Khejadiya Bhup, public attention is now focused on the upcoming food department investigation report and the subsequent actions to be taken.
