An official from the Madhya Pradesh State Election Commission has been honored on Independence Day for the successful implementation of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) sharing policy. Under this policy, Madhya Pradesh has not only garnered a revenue of ₹11.22 crore but has also enabled states like Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, and Chhattisgarh to save approximately ₹200 crore on the purchase of new EVMs. The award was presented by State Election Commissioner Shri Manoj Kumar Srivastava during a ceremony on August 15.
