He explained that Hariyali Teej is a significant festival celebrated in the month of Sawan, commemorating the lush greenery of nature and the reunion of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

This festival is considered a symbol of good fortune, love for nature, and marital bliss. Referencing religious beliefs, he stated that Goddess Parvati undertook severe penance to have Lord Shiva as her husband, which was successful on the third day of the waxing moon in Sawan, leading to their reunion. This event is commemorated through the festival.

On this occasion, married women observe fasts and perform prayers for the long life of their husbands and the prosperity of their families, while unmarried girls in many places also fast for a suitable groom. The festival is named 'Hariyali Teej' due to the green appearance of nature, the verdant trees, and the enchanting atmosphere during the month of Sawan.
