Etah Police Educate Traders on Cyber Security and Helpline Numbers

Cyber Security and Helpline Awareness Program Held in Etah

Etah, September 2, 2026 - Under the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police Etah, Shri Brajesh Kumar Srivastava, the Etah Police organized an awareness program at Hotel Vrinda, Kachahari Road, in collaboration with the Industry Trade Association. The initiative was part of 'Mission Shakti Phase-5' (Second Phase) and cyber security awareness.

The primary objective of the program was to educate traders about various crucial helpline numbers and methods to protect themselves from cybercrimes. Emphasis was placed on the importance of women's safety, dignity, and self-reliance for the attending male and female traders.

The police team provided information on several essential helpline numbers. These include the Police Emergency Service 112, Health Services 102 and 108, Women Power Line 1090, Child Helpline 1098, Women Helpline 181, Chief Minister Helpline 1076, and the Cyber Crime Helpline 1930. Awareness of these numbers is expected to facilitate prompt assistance during emergencies.

Emphasis on Preventing Cyber Frauds

Given the rising incidents of cybercrime, the police detailed comprehensive information and precautionary measures to the traders. They were strictly advised not to share their One-Time Passwords (OTPs) with any unknown individual. Furthermore, traders were warned about the dangers of clicking on suspicious or unknown links.

Traders were also encouraged to use online transactions and social media safely to prevent falling victim to any form of online fraud. The police team present included Kotwali Sub-Inspector Mrs. Kunwar Nandini, Chowki Incharge Purana Shahar Shri Rohit Singh, and other police officers. They answered traders' questions and urged them to remain continuously vigilant against cyber threats.

Traders Honor Police Team

Representatives from the Industry Trade Association, including Senior State Vice President Shri Sarvesh Singh Chauhan, District President Alok Dixit, District Vice President Manoj Kumar Kathuria, General Secretary Abhay Tandon, District Treasurer Kamil Qureshi, District Vice President Ashok Jatav, and many other prominent traders were present. Hundreds of traders attended the event.

At the conclusion of the program, trader leaders honored the police team by presenting them with shawls and mementos, symbolizing the cordial relationship between the police and the trading community.
