Bhopal | August 26, 2026 -- At an event held in Bhopal, the book 'Ek Ped Ki Katha' (The Story of a Tree) by author Sanjay Mehta was released, reiterating the need for quality and relevant literature for children. Literary figures, thinkers, and academics present at the occasion extensively discussed the significant role of children's literature in the personality development, value formation, and environmental consciousness of children. The chief guest of the program, Raghunandan Sharma, executive president of Manas Pratishthan and a thinker, stated that in today's digital age, the creation of abundant, high-quality, and timely literature for children is extremely essential. Prof. Dwivedi highlighted that today's childhood faces numerous challenges, including the excessive influence of technology, changing family structures, social pressures, and a fast-paced lifestyle. Dr. Santosh Choubey, a litterateur and educationist and a special guest, stressed the adaptation of literary stories. He stated that presenting good stories through plays and other theatrical mediums expands their reach.
