Dussehra Celebrations in Narsinghpur

The auspicious festival of Vijaya Dashami was celebrated with traditional fervor and enthusiasm in Narsinghpur. Panchayat and Rural Development and Labour Minister Prahlad Singh Patel graced the 'Shastra Pujan' (worship of arms) ceremony held at the Police Line as the chief guest.

The event saw the presence of dignitaries including District Panchayat President Jyoti Nilesh Kakodiya, former state minister Jalam Singh Patel, Collector Rajni Singh, and Superintendent of Police Dr. Rishikesh Meena, along with other public representatives and administrative officials.

Minister Emphasizes Responsible Use of Power

Addressing the gathering, Minister Prahlad Singh Patel highlighted the significance of both scriptures and weapons in Sanatan culture. He stressed that understanding the responsible use of weapons, alongside knowledge, is essential for building a secure and strong society.

The minister clarified that the display or use of power should never stem from arrogance. He specifically called for sensitivity towards the weaker and helpless sections of society and urged the use of one's capabilities for the nation's benefit.

Call for Collective Resolve Against Addiction

Minister Patel emphasized the realization of a drug-free society and urged the assembled crowd to take a pledge. He stated that continuous efforts must be made to eradicate the evil of addiction from society by the next Vijaya Dashami.

Highlighting the importance of resolve, the minister said that when the objective is noble, remaining steadfast is the only option. He also reiterated the significance of Dussehra as a symbol of the victory of good over evil.

Collector Stresses Prudent Behavior and Discipline

On this occasion, Collector Rajni Singh underscored the importance of Vijaya Dashami as a symbol of the triumph of truth over falsehood. Citing verses from the Ramcharitmanas, she emphasized the value of prudent behavior and discipline in life.

The Collector added that the primary goal of governance is to maintain a positive environment in society. She appealed to citizens to become aware of social evils like addiction and contribute to safeguarding their families.

SP Highlights Police's Commitment and Tradition of 'Shastra Pujan'

Superintendent of Police Dr. Rishikesh Meena shed light on the tradition of 'Shastra Pujan', stating that this event symbolizes the diligence and courage of the police force. He assured that the Madhya Pradesh Police are committed to maintaining the security and peace of society.

According to the Superintendent of Police, this ritual of 'Shastra Pujan' inspires the police to stand firm against anti-social activities and remain ever vigilant in their service to the public. During the ceremony, guests performed the puja of arms according to rituals and concluded with an Aarti. Officials and staff of the police force were also present.

Pledge for Harmony and Societal Contribution

Congratulating the district residents on Vijaya Dashami, public representatives appealed for the promotion of brotherhood and harmony in society. Dignitaries present at the event reiterated the resolve for the victory of good over evil and pledged to play their part in building a disciplined society.
