Alert Police Officer Prevents Tragedy

A dramatic incident unfolded at the Chitrakoot Dip, located on the Farrukhabad-Badaun State Highway, on Thursday evening. A young man, in a state of intoxication, was observed heading towards the rising floodwaters.

Eyewitnesses reported that the young man, who had walked from the Farrukhabad side towards Chitrakoot Dip, was heavily intoxicated. He suddenly began to move towards the floodwaters. Both nearby police personnel and villagers shouted to stop him upon seeing his perilous situation.

Officer's Swift Action Saves a Life

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, a police officer on duty fearlessly plunged into the water. He pursued the man in the flowing current, apprehended him, and safely brought him back to shore.

A crowd of villagers gathered to witness the event, enthusiastically praising the police officer's prompt action and bravery. They remarked that a major accident could have occurred had the officer not intervened in time.

Police Investigation Underway

Station House Officer Rajeupur, Nagendra Singh, confirmed the incident. He stated that the youth was attempting to enter the floodwaters while under the influence of alcohol. Thanks to the police officer's presence of mind and swiftness, the individual was rescued unharmed.

The young man is currently being questioned as the police conduct a detailed investigation into the matter.
