FARUKHABAD, August 24, 2026 - Efforts are being intensified in Farrukhabad to expedite revenue-related tasks and ensure the prompt settlement of cases concerning the general public. These directives were issued during a comprehensive review meeting of the Revenue Department held at the Collectorate auditorium in Fatehgarh, chaired by District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lather.

The primary objective of the meeting was to guarantee the timely and quality-driven resolution of pending disputes and complaints in various revenue courts. The District Magistrate instructed officials to achieve 100% completion of their monthly targets to ensure annual targets are met within the stipulated deadlines.

He specifically stressed the importance of increasing revenue collection through enhanced recovery actions. Dr. Lather made it clear that any undue delays in revenue cases related to the public would not be tolerated. He urged all officials and staff to work with complete transparency and sensitivity in line with the government's vision.

Priority Resolution of Pending Cases

During the meeting, critical revenue matters such as mutation of inheritance (wirasat), name transfers (namantaran), land disputes, demarcation, measurement (paish), and encroachments were thoroughly reviewed. The District Magistrate directed that all these pending cases be resolved on a priority basis.

He placed special emphasis on the qualitative resolution of complaints received at the tehsil level, ensuring that complainants receive timely justice and relief. Dr. Lather underscored that the work of the revenue department is directly linked to the lives of common citizens, and therefore, every official must discharge their duties with utmost seriousness and responsibility. He also instructed all concerned officials to regularly review progress and take necessary steps to meet the set targets on time.

Discussion on Revenue Collection and Enforcement Progress

The meeting also included a review of the progress in revenue collection and enforcement activities under various departments, including Commercial Tax, Stamp & Registration, Excise, Transport, Electricity, Mandi Samiti, Forestry, and Irrigation. Officials presented detailed reports on actions taken and revenue figures achieved in these sectors.

The important meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate Finance & Revenue Arun Kumar Singh, Additional District Magistrate Judicial Dinesh Kumar, Senior Treasury Officer Ambrish Bajpai, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sadar Sanjay Kumar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Amritpur Sweta Sahu, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kaimganj Ajay Pandey, Tehsildars, and other related officials and employees of the Revenue Department.
