Divya Khossla questions Komal Rani's sindoor use

Actor Divya Khossla has once again spoken out about the recent controversy involving actor Govinda and his rumoured girlfriend Komal Rani Swarnkar, following their appearance at the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh pandal.

Khossla has specifically raised questions about the significance of the sindoor worn by Swarnkar during the religious visit, questioning whether she understands its profound meaning for Hindu women.

Sindoor Controversy at Lalbaugcha Raja

The public discussion intensified after Govinda and Komal Rani were observed at Lalbaugcha Raja on September 22. Social media users noted that Swarnkar did not appear to be wearing sindoor upon arrival. However, after seeking blessings, a red mark was visible on her forehead and hair parting, sparking speculation about a potential secret wedding.

While some interpreted the mark as sindoor, others proposed it could be a result of religious rituals at the pandal, such as touching her forehead to the deity's feet.

Divya Khossla's Concerns

Divya Khossla, who had previously voiced support for Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, expressed her disappointment with the unfolding events. In a recent statement, she emphasized the importance of maintaining societal boundaries, stating, “Whatever we do in our personal life is definitely our choice, however, at least for the sake of keeping our society clean, it’s very important that ‘Hum Samaj ka Daayra maintain Karein’ (we maintain societal boundaries)."

Khossla further questioned the manner of Swarnkar's appearance, noting how it provided fodder for media coverage. She questioned the intent behind such actions, asking, “Like really… whom are you kidding?? and then goes and comments on intimate details of your personal life… Do you think this is a joke?"

Religion and Personal Agendas

Adding to her critique, Khossla urged individuals not to exploit religion for personal agendas. She specifically highlighted the symbolic importance of sindoor for married Hindu women, stating, “At least stop using our religion for your agenda… do you even understand the importance of a Sindoor?? Which is the most powerful symbol of a married Hindu woman. Extremely disappointed with the celebs supporting such acts.”

This controversy unfolds against the backdrop of Sunita Ahuja’s recent video message appealing for support amidst reports of Govinda’s alleged relationship with Komal Rani. Swarnkar had also shared a social media note, further complicating the ongoing public narrative.
