District Magistrate Reviews Relief Operations in Flood-Affected Villages

Farrukhabad, August 12, 2026 - The District Magistrate of Farrukhabad, Dr. Ankur Lather, conducted a thorough inspection of the severely flood-affected villages of Dilip ki Madaiya and Dhauli ki Madaiya in the Badhpur block of Tehsil Sadar. He reviewed the progress of relief and rescue operations being carried out by the local administration and engaged directly with the affected villagers to understand their problems and hardships.

During the inspection, the District Magistrate issued strict directives to the concerned officials, stating that any negligence or laxity in the ongoing relief efforts in flood-affected areas would not be tolerated. He emphasized ensuring that affected families receive timely food, clean drinking water, essential medicines, and other necessary relief materials without fail.

He also ordered continuous, vigilant monitoring of the flood situation and immediate assistance in any emergency. The District Magistrate stressed the importance of maintaining a close watch on the evolving situation and being prepared to provide rapid support when needed.

Immediate Relief for Flood Victims

As part of the inspection, the District Magistrate personally distributed cooked food to children stranded by the floods. He instructed officials to promptly transfer the government-determined assistance amount to the bank accounts of villagers whose pathways were damaged due to the strong flood currents.

Furthermore, he directed the preparation of a detailed list of villagers whose homes were completely destroyed by the floods, and to initiate the process of issuing them residential leases.

District Magistrate Dr. Lather assured the flood victims that the district administration is fully committed and working with utmost promptness to assist them. He reassured them that no flood-affected family would be deprived of necessary relief and aid.

Present during the inspection were Additional District Magistrate (Finance & Revenue) Arun Kumar Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sadar Sanjay Kumar, District Basic Education Officer Vishwanath Pratap Singh, Tehsildar Sadar Vikram Singh Chauhan, along with officials from the revenue department and other relevant departments.
