Disability Aid Camp in Rajakhedi Registers 228 Beneficiaries

Assistive Device Camp Held in Rajakhedi for Differently-Abled
To benefit differently-abled individuals from the Naryawali Assembly constituency, a free assistive device testing camp was organized in Rajakhedi Bajaria, Makaronia area of Sagar district. The camp, held under the Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids and Appliances (ADIP) scheme of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Government of India, saw a large turnout of beneficiaries from the Makaronia Municipal Council, Sagar city, and surrounding rural areas.
During the camp, a total of 228 eligible differently-abled individuals from the Naryawali Assembly constituency were registered. Out of these, 28 beneficiaries received artificial limbs on the spot as per their requirements. The remaining beneficiaries were distributed coupons for assistive devices after testing, based on their eligibility, which will be provided in upcoming camps.
Various assistive devices, including tricycles, wheelchairs, crutches, hearing aids, smart canes, and walkers, were tested and registered for the differently-abled at this camp. The presence of local representatives and officials marked this significant event, including Shri Anshul Laria, son of Naryawali MLA Engg. Pradeep Laria, Chief Municipal Officer Shri Pawan Kumar Sharma, Health Department Chairman Councilor Shri Vivek Saxena, Shri Balwant Singh Thakur, Shri Narendra Singh Thakur, Shri Raja Richhariya, Shri Sonu Yadav, Shri Mukesh Patel, Shri Dinesh Daksh, Alderman Shri Narendra Rohit, Mahila Morcha representatives Shrimati Shiksha Vishwakarma, Shrimati Rashmi Ahirwar, Shrimati Uma Rajak, Shrimati Aarti Thakur, Social Security Extension Officer Shri Vasudev Gaud, health department officials, doctors, officials and employees of the Makaronia Municipal Council, and a large number of differently-abled beneficiaries.
