Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, led by Ranveer Singh, has officially entered the history books. The makers confirmed that the film has crossed Rs 831.40 crore net at the Indian box office, making it the highest-earning Hindi-language film of all time.
The landmark was sealed on Day 33, when the film added Rs 5.70 crore, pushing it past the previous benchmark and placing it at the top of the all-time Hindi box-office chart.
A new benchmark for Hindi cinema
In a statement, the producers called the feat a “redefinition of Indian box-office success”, underscoring how Dhurandhar has rewritten commercial expectations for a single-language release.
The record was earlier held by Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi) at Rs 830 crore, followed by Jawan at Rs 643 crore and Stree 2 at Rs 627 crore.

About the film
Written and directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is a high-stakes spy thriller set against major geopolitical flashpoints, including the Kandahar hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and 26/11. Much of the narrative unfolds in Lyari, Karachi, a setting rarely explored in mainstream Hindi cinema.
The ensemble cast features Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan and Rakesh Bedi. The film is produced by Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar (B62 Studios) in association with Jio Studios, led by Jyoti Deshpande.
