Dhanush and Kriti Sanon Shine in Intense Teaser of Tere Ishk Mein

The much-awaited teaser of Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday, giving audiences a glimpse of an emotionally charged love story. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film promises to be a stirring tale of passion, loss, and surrender, accompanied by the haunting score of A. R. Rahman.

A Tale of Painful Love

Set against the soulful backdrop of Benaras, the teaser introduces viewers to Shankar (Dhanush) and Mukti (Kriti Sanon) — lovers torn apart by fate. In a powerful opening, Shankar is shown arriving from his father’s funeral only to see Mukti preparing for her wedding. Overcome by rage and heartbreak, he pours Ganga jal on her during her Mehendi ceremony, symbolically “washing away her sins.” In a chilling moment, he curses her to have a son — to remind her that those who die for love are also someone’s children.

The visuals are poetic yet raw, with glimpses of Mukti drowning her sorrows in alcohol and Shankar fighting faceless goons, reflecting the pain and turbulence of their relationship.

Rahman’s Haunting Music

This film marks A. R. Rahman’s third Hindi collaboration with Dhanush and Aanand L Rai after Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re. The teaser features a haunting melody composed by Rahman, with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil and vocals by Arijit Singh, perfectly setting the emotional tone of the film.

Aanand L Rai described the story as one of surrender:
