Dhanashree Verma Opens Up About Early Troubles in Marriage to Yuzvendra Chahal

Choreographer and digital creator Dhanashree Verma revealed that her marriage to cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal faced trouble almost immediately. On the reality show Rise and Fall, she claimed that Chahal had cheated within two months of their wedding in December 2020, adding that she realized the marriage was a mistake during the first year.

The couple, who met during online dance sessions in the Covid-19 lockdown, filed for divorce by mutual consent in February 2025, with the formal proceedings concluding in March. Dhanashree clarified that the separation was swift and dismissed any speculation around alimony, emphasizing that she does not owe explanations to the public.

Reflecting on the emotional impact, she told Humans of Bombay that she was overwhelmed when the verdict was delivered, while Chahal walked out first.

Since the divorce, Dhanashree has focused on personal well-being and avoiding public scrutiny. She is now set to make her Telugu debut in the dance-based film 'Akasam Daati Vastaava'.
