Development Stalwart Shiv Prasad Kesari Passes Away at 76, Region Mourns

Leader Passes After Long Illness

Shiv Prasad Kesari, widely regarded as the 'Man of Development' for the Bhainsaur Balay Pahar area in Halia block of Mirzapur district, has passed away at the age of 76 following a long illness. Kesari, who was first elected as Gram Pradhan (village head) in 1988, served in the position for five consecutive terms.

Decades of Service and Development

Throughout his five-decade-long social and political career, Shiv Prasad Kesari dedicated himself to the upliftment of the underdeveloped and hilly region of Bhainsaur Balay Pahar. His efforts significantly contributed to the development of drinking water supply, education, rural infrastructure, healthcare, and communication facilities, leaving a lasting legacy of progress in the area.

Condolences and Tributes Pour In

Various Congress leaders and workers have expressed deep sorrow over the untimely demise of Shiv Prasad Kesari. Bhagwati Prasad Chaudhary, In-charge of Madhya Pradesh Congress SC Department and National Co-ordinator, paid floral tribute to Kesari's portrait in Hanumana Nagar Panchayat, Mauganj district. Chaudhary lauded Kesari's pivotal role in the development of his Gram Panchayat, transforming Bhainsaur Balay Pahar into a model of planned development.

Remembering His Social Contributions

Shashibhushan Dubey Kanchani, National Secretary of the National Mazdoor Congress (INTUC), also expressed profound grief. He highlighted Kesari's 50 years of dedicated social work within his 76 years of life, emphasizing its unforgettable impact. Numerous other Congress members, including Ishtiaq Ansari, Hari Lal Adiwasi, Shiv Lal Saket, Virendra Mishra, Dibya Kant Tripathi, Ganesh Saket, Anil Soni, Nilesh Gupta, and Amrit Lal Shukla, conveyed their condolences and offered prayers for the peace of the departed soul.
