Agricultural Scheme Review in Devri

Rohit Sisodia, Deputy Secretary in the Agriculture Department of the Madhya Pradesh government, conducted a detailed tour of the Devri development block in Sagar district as part of the Chief Minister's Jan Vishwas Abhiyan. He reviewed the ground-level progress of various agricultural and farmer welfare schemes.

During his visit, he directly engaged with farmers to gather information on the implementation of these schemes and the benefits they provide. Deputy Secretary Sisodia began his tour at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Devri, where he closely inspected seed production activities. He also inquired about the quality and availability of seeds produced by seed manufacturing organizations.

Dr. Ashish Tripathi from the Krishi Vigyan Kendra briefed him on the center's various activities and significant work. He also provided details on the center's contributions.

Observation of Seed Corporation and Food Processing Units

Following this, Deputy Secretary Sisodia visited the farm of the Madhya Pradesh State Seed and Farm Development Corporation in Bijora. He inspected the storage capacity and observed modern grading machines. On this occasion, he offered necessary guidance to the concerned officials to maintain seed quality and streamline the distribution process.

While inspecting the BRC center established under the ATMA project in Nayagaon, he understood the operational procedures of an oil mill set up with subsidy under the Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme. The government's efforts to promote small food processing enterprises through this scheme were lauded.

Emphasis on Advanced Agricultural Practices and Custom Hiring Centers

In Sonpur village, the Deputy Secretary reviewed soybean and groundnut crop demonstrations set up by the Agriculture Department. He encouraged farmers to adopt advanced and sustainable agricultural practices to increase both the quality and quantity of their yield.

The custom hiring center operating on the farm of farmer Shri Roop Basant Lodhi in Ramtek village of Devri development block was also inspected. Shri Sisodia learned about the utility of the various agricultural machinery available at the center and the services provided to farmers through these machines. Custom hiring centers play a crucial role in making modern agricultural equipment accessible to farmers.

Present during this tour were Deputy Director Agriculture Rajesh Tripathi, Project Director ATMA M.K. Prajapati, Dr. Ashish Tripathi, Bhupendra Singh, Umashankar Prajapati, Prabhanshu Dubey, Smt. Kalpana Jain, and other departmental officials and employees. All officials provided the Deputy Secretary with detailed updates on the implementation of departmental schemes and the progress of work being done in the interest of farmers.
