Special Program on Ethical Living and Drug-Free Lifestyle

A special program emphasizing the importance of ethical living, drug-free lifestyles, and social responsibility was organized on Tuesday at Pandit Brijkishore Pateriya Education College in Deori, Sagar district. Initiated by members of the Gayatri Parivar, students and the entire staff of the college resolved to adopt these significant values in their lives.

Promoting Discipline and Moral Values

The program commenced with the collective chanting of the Gayatri Mantra. Following this, students were encouraged to stay away from intoxicating substances, particularly alcohol. Speakers stressed the importance of enriching life through discipline, virtue, and positive thoughts.

"Youth is the golden period of life building. Habits adopted at this stage determine the future direction of life," stated college lecturer Shivam Sharma. He urged students to integrate truth, self-restraint, virtue, and human values into their lives, rather than limiting religion to mere worship.

According to Sharma, ethically strong youth are the foundation of a healthy society and a strong nation.

Awareness of Drug Abuse Consequences

Members from the Gayatri Parivar, including Shri Babulal Sahu, Ashok Nema, R.R. Sahu, Naresh Kumar Mishra, and Kanhaiyalal Tamrakar, informed students about the severe consequences of drug abuse. They conveyed a message to remain drug-free and to inspire those around them to do the same.

The members emphasized that a disciplined and cultured life paves the way for the progress of both the individual and society. The primary objective of this initiative was to strengthen self-control, moral consciousness, and a sense of social responsibility among the youth, enabling them to contribute positively to the development of society and the nation.

Pledge for a Healthy and Disciplined Life

During the program, attending students took the 'Brother's Pledge' and a pledge for drug-free living. They reiterated their commitment to living a healthy, disciplined, and cultured life. A large number of students and the entire faculty of the college were present for the event.
