Demand for ITI and Skill Center in Gasdi; Minister Assures Action

Balrampur | September 27, 2026 - In a significant move to boost skill development and employment opportunities for the youth of the Gasdi constituency, former MLA Shailu Singh met with Kapil Dev Agarwal, State Minister (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, in Lucknow.

During the meeting, Mr. Singh presented a detailed memorandum outlining the challenges faced by the region's youth and their progress. The memorandum prominently demanded the establishment of a new Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and a skill training center within the Gasdi assembly constituency.

Furthermore, the memorandum emphasized the expansion of crucial technical trades such as sewing, computer operation, electrician, and fitter. This aims to equip local youth with modern and relevant skills essential for today's job market.

Focus on Enhancing Employment Opportunities

The memorandum also highlighted the need for organizing special training programs and providing financial assistance to connect tribal and rural youth with self-employment and entrepreneurship schemes. It urged ensuring that trained youth receive better job prospects through the regular organization of job fairs and placement camps.

State Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal assured that all demands raised by the former MLA would be given serious consideration. He pledged to direct the concerned departmental officials to ensure necessary and positive action is taken in this regard.

"Connecting every youth of the Gasdi assembly constituency with skills, employment, and self-reliance is my primary resolution," stated former MLA Shailu Singh. He expressed confidence that this initiative will open new avenues of employment for the unemployed youth in the region and improve their economic condition.
