Memorandum Submitted to Delhi Social Welfare Minister on Demands for Community Hall and Library

New Delhi | August 12, 2026 - A joint delegation from the Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar Charitable Trust, Dwarka Delhi Committee, Tiger Force India, and the Vimukt, Ghumantu & Ardha-Ghumantu Janjati Mahasangh submitted a memorandum to Delhi's Social Welfare Cabinet Minister, Ravidra Indraraj Singh, on Tuesday. The memorandum highlighted various demands concerning the establishment of a community hall and library.

The delegation met with the minister, expressing their expectations for a swift resolution to these demands. Prominent figures in the delegation included Deep Singh Delhi, General Secretary of the Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar Charitable Trust and Dwarka Delhi Committee; Pradeep Baghel, Deputy Secretary of the Trust and Pradesh President of the Vimukt Ghumantu & Ardha-Ghumantu Janjati Mahasangh, Delhi; Ajay Singh Pal, Organization Minister of the Trust; and Sudha Pal, West Delhi District President of the Vimukt Ghumantu & Ardha-Ghumantu Janjati Mahasangh, along with several other office bearers and activists.

Advocating for the Library as a Center of Knowledge

The memorandum prominently emphasized the establishment of a community hall and library. The delegation informed the minister that a library is not merely a place for book study but can serve as a vital source of knowledge and guidance for youth, students, and those preparing for competitive examinations. Therefore, ensuring necessary facilities and arrangements for the library is extremely important in the public interest.

Members of the delegation stressed that expanding facilities like libraries is essential to provide a better educational environment for students from economically weaker, Vimukt, Ghumantu, and Ardha-Ghumantu communities, as well as all sections of society. They urged for positive action on the various demands put forth by the organizations.

Pledge for Social and Educational Upliftment

The delegation clarified that the Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar Charitable Trust, Tiger Force India, and the Vimukt Ghumantu-Ardha-Ghumantu Janjati Mahasangh consistently raise issues related to social and educational interests. The primary objective of these organizations is to deliver education, social awareness, and essential facilities to the needy and deprived sections of society.

Social Welfare Minister Ravidra Indraraj Singh listened attentively to the demands and issues raised in the memorandum by the delegation. He assured the delegation that the demands concerning the community hall and library, and the issues raised, would be seriously considered, and necessary action would be taken promptly.

Following the minister's positive response and assurance of action, the delegation members expressed their gratitude. They expressed hope that the government will take concrete steps in this direction soon, which will resolve the demands related to the library and benefit students and the needy sections of society. The delegation also stated that strengthening basic facilities like education and libraries will promote knowledge, awareness, and self-reliance in society.
