India’s premier all-rounder Deepti Sharma delivered another landmark moment in cricket history on Saturday, becoming the first player—across both men’s and women’s international cricket—to complete 1,000 runs and 150 wickets in T20 Internationals. The historic achievement came during the third T20I against Sri Lanka, further reinforcing her reputation as one of the finest all-rounders of the modern era.

Deepti reached the milestone with a decisive three-wicket spell that not only helped India tighten their grip on the match but also elevated her to the joint-highest wicket-taker in women’s T20I history, alongside Australia’s Megan Schutt.
