De De Pyaar De 2 Box Office Day 7: Crosses ₹50 Crore in India

Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan and Rakul Preet Singh’s De De Pyaar De 2 has crossed the ₹50-crore mark at the domestic box office within its first week. As per early trade estimates by Sacnilk, the film collected ₹3.35 crore nett on Thursday, taking its 7-day total to ₹51.10 crore nett.

The sequel opened with ₹8.75 crore on November 14 and registered a ₹25.95 crore weekend. Though Monday saw a dip to ₹4.25 crore, the film picked up again mid-week and has maintained stable momentum.

Directed by Anshul Sharma and written by Luv Ranjan–Tarun Jain, the comedy-drama also stars Jaaved Jaaferi, Meezaan Jafri, Tina Dutta, Gautami Kapoor and Ishita Dutta. The story revolves around 52-year-old Ashish Mehra (Ajay Devgn), who seeks approval from the family of his 28-year-old girlfriend Ayesha (Rakul), triggering a clash with her younger father, played by R. Madhavan.

Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan’s Kaantha collected ₹1.40 crore nett on Thursday, with its domestic total standing at ₹20.65 crore nett after seven days. Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, the period drama also features Samuthirakani, Bhagyashri Borse and Rana Daggubati.
