National Recognition for Mayank's Stamp Design
Damoh, Madhya Pradesh has once again made its mark on the national stage. Mayank Gardia, a resident of Damoh, was honored in New Delhi by Union Minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, with the official release of his outstanding postal stamp design. The release commemorated the 85th anniversary of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR).
Mayank, who is pursuing a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from IIc B, Kolkata, was also felicitated at a special ceremony for his achievement. His design was adjudged the best in a competition held for the CSIR's 85th anniversary, leading to its selection for the postal stamp. This accomplishment serves as a significant inspiration for the youth of Damoh.
'Yuva Sangam' Employment Fair on September 29th
In a significant step towards creating new employment opportunities for the district's youth, a 'Yuva Sangam' employment fair is being organized. As per the instructions from the Technical Education and Employment Department, the event will take place on September 29, 2026, at the Government Polytechnic College, Damoh.
The fair will commence at 11 AM with the primary objective of providing apprenticeship and employment opportunities to young individuals. Prominent companies from across the country, including Tata Motors, Vardhman Textiles, and Heidelberg Cement, will be participating in the event.
Youth aged 18 to 48 years, having completed education from 8th grade up to postgraduate level, are eligible to participate. A total of 1455 positions will be filled through the selection process across various companies, with specific allocations including 200 at Tata Motors, 500 at Shriram Pistons, and 300 at Shivford Group.
The District Employment Officer has clarified that candidates interested in participating must complete pre-registration via the QR code provided on the pamphlets. This registration process is completely free of charge. Applicants are required to be present at the stipulated time with all necessary educational documents, an updated resume, and recent passport-sized photographs.
The department has also advised participants to avoid any form of financial transaction related to the employment process.
