Damoh | September 2, 2026 - A significant meeting was held to strengthen the all-round development and citizen facilities of Damoh city. Chaired by MLA Jayant Malaiya, the meeting extensively discussed various municipal issues.

Discussions revolved around necessary steps and effective regulations for the city's development, expansion of citizen amenities, and improvement of existing systems. MLA Malaiya urged all stakeholders to collaborate for the city's progress, emphasizing the importance of collective participation in the municipality's work.

MLA Malaiya stressed a moral responsibility, stating that municipal officers, the leader of the opposition, and the vice-president should sign and take responsibility even without legal obligation. He highlighted that if one person cannot complete a development task, others should step forward to ensure its completion. He also noted the positive outcomes of a previous electricity board meeting.

Development Work Prioritization and Timelines

Addressing the gathering, Collector Pratap Narayan Yadav emphasized the importance of accelerating the city's development works. He clarified that a definite timeline will be set for each proposed development project to ensure timely completion.

The Collector issued essential directives to departmental officers to ensure the availability of sanitation, drinking water supply, waste management, and other critical citizen facilities. The meeting was attended by BJP District President Shyam Shivhare, Municipal Vice President Sushma Vikram Singh, Vijay Jain, एसडीएम Saurabh Gandharv, Deputy Collector Brajesh Singh, Municipal CMO Rajendra Singh Lodhi, PWD EE JP Sonkar, District Education Officer Satyam Chaurasia, Vikram Singh, and officials from various departments and the municipality.

The primary objective of this meeting was to find solutions to the city's major problems and effectively implement development plans.
