Damoh Seva Setu Camp Benefits 110 Individuals with ₹51.42 Lakh

Damoh | October 4, 2026

A 'Seva Setu' camp held in Damoh provided benefits totaling ₹51.42 lakh to 110 eligible beneficiaries under various government schemes. The camp's primary objective is to bridge the gap between the public and the administration, ensuring effective solutions to citizens' problems.

Schemes and Citizen Engagement

The camp featured schemes from 18 different departments. Local representatives also attended, assuring a focus on development work and public welfare initiatives. A significant directive regarding the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme was also issued during the event.

Focus on Pending Housing Scheme Cases

Regional MLA Jayant Malaiya emphasized during the camp that many families are still awaiting benefits from the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme. He instructed officials to identify all eligible beneficiaries and prioritize their inclusion in the government's welfare programs. This initiative is expected to help underprivileged families realize their dream of owning a home.

Humanitarian Approach to Problem Resolution

Addressing the officials present, Damoh Collector Pratap Narayan Yadav stated that merely distributing benefits is insufficient; winning the public's trust in the administration is crucial. He stressed that for citizens, respect and swift resolution of their problems are more important than offices and procedures. The Collector clarified that the 'Seva Setu' campaign aims not just to receive applications but to resolve each issue effectively with a humanitarian approach.

Benefits Distributed Across Various Schemes

Rajendra Singh Lodhi, Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) of Damoh Municipality, reported that ₹30 lakh was allocated as the first installment to 30 beneficiaries under the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme 2.0. Additionally, the Fisheries Department provided fishing leases, certificates were distributed under the Ladli Behna Yojana, and beneficiaries of disability and old-age pensions were aided through the Social Justice Department. Assistance was also provided to eligible beneficiaries of the Prime Minister Street Vendors Scheme.

Other public representatives present at the camp included Raman Khatri, Sanjay Sen, Mahesh Patel, and Rameshwar Chaudhary.
