Damoh Receives Critical Care Unit as Independence Day Gift, Promising Enhanced Treatment for Severe Patients

Critical Care Unit Inaugurated in Damoh

On the occasion of Independence Day, August 15, 2026, a 50-bed Critical Care Unit (CCU) was inaugurated at the Damoh District Hospital. This facility, approved under the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Infrastructure Mission, will provide better and organized treatment to patients suffering from severe accidents, heart diseases, and other emergency conditions.

Strengthening District Health Services

The Chief Guest and State Minister for Culture, Tourism, Religious Trusts & Endowments, Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, stated that the CCU is a significant step towards strengthening the district's health services. He emphasized that this unit will ensure effective care and timely medical attention for severely injured patients, heart patients, and those in other emergency situations, thereby improving treatment quality.

Acknowledging that more work is needed in the health sector, Minister Shri Lodhi highlighted the CCU's launch as a crucial beginning. He added that this facility will play a decisive role in treating critical patients and is a welcome gift for the district's residents on Independence Day.

Enhanced Care for Critical Patients

Member of Parliament Shri Rahul Singh Lodhi also underscored the importance of the CCU. He stated that the unit's operationalization will enable more organized and quality treatment for patients with severe injuries, accidents, and emergency conditions.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District President Shri Shivhare noted that the establishment of the CCU is a major achievement for the district, which will strengthen the healthcare infrastructure. MLA Shri Malaiya also described the unit's launch as a vital step in bolstering health facilities.
