Damoh Collector Pratap Narayan Yadav presided over a significant public hearing at the Damoh Collectorate on August 18, 2026. Citizens from various remote areas of the district presented their concerns, with a total of 225 applications, encompassing both individual and collective issues, being heard.
The Collector directed the concerned officials to ensure the effective resolution of all received applications within stipulated timelines. The hearing also facilitated the completion of the process to update the Aadhaar card information for 12 citizens, demonstrating a commitment to administrative efficiency.
Healthcare and Administrative Presence at the Hearing
In a move highlighting the administration's dedication to public health, 90 individuals underwent health check-ups during the Jan Sunwai. These health screenings provided local residents with an opportunity to address their health-related concerns.
The Jan Sunwai was attended by several senior administrative officials from the district. Key attendees included CEO Zila Panchayat Praveen Phulpagare, Additional Collector Rakesh Mohan Tripathi, SDM Saurabh Gandharva, Deputy Collectors Brajesh Singh, Rachna Prajapati, and Rani Ahirwar, along with Public Service Manager Chakresh Patel. Their presence aimed to ensure swift and appropriate action on the applications received.
“Jan Sunwai provides a platform for citizens to resolve their problems. The primary objective of the administration is to work in the public interest, and no citizen should face unnecessary difficulties in getting their grievances addressed,” stated Collector Yadav. He emphasized that such public hearings help bring the government closer to citizens and understand their expectations.
