Public Hearing in Damoh Resolves Numerous Citizen Issues

Damoh | September 1, 2026: In a public hearing held today in Damoh district, Collector Pratap Narayan Yadav personally listened to the problems of 217 applicants. He engaged in direct dialogue with each applicant to understand their difficulties.

The primary objective of the public hearing was to ensure that the maximum number of cases were resolved immediately on the spot. Relevant department officials were summoned to the venue and instructed to provide swift solutions in accordance with regulations.

Support for Persons with Disabilities

A significant number of persons with disabilities attended the hearing to seek solutions to their problems. For those individuals lacking necessary certificates, arrangements were made to transport them to the Medical Board via ambulance for assessment.

Collector Yadav assured that the required certificates for these persons with disabilities would be prepared and provided promptly, enabling them to benefit from government schemes.

Swift Action on Pension Complaints

During the hearing, several senior citizens and persons with disabilities complained about not receiving their pension amounts for several months or issues with payments not reflecting in their accounts. Following the Collector's directives, the Social Justice Department immediately investigated the pension status.

Beneficiaries whose pension amounts had been credited were notified. Additionally, instructions were issued for those beneficiaries whose e-KYC was incomplete to complete it, ensuring the smooth resumption of pension processing.

Monthly Financial Aid for Orphaned Child

A 17-year-old orphan also brought his plight to the public hearing. Collector Yadav took cognizance of the situation and stated that the boy is eligible to receive a monthly assistance of ₹4,000 under the schemes of the Women and Child Development Department.

Due to an unforeseen reason, he had not been receiving the benefits of this scheme until now. The Collector directed the concerned officials to expedite all necessary formalities and immediately commence the distribution of financial assistance to the child.
