Plantation Drive Under 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'

Damoh MLA Jayant Malaiya participated in the 'Seva Mera Yogdan' program under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', undertaking a plantation drive at the Varpati forest land near the Medical College. On this occasion, he highlighted the significance of environmental protection, stating that planting saplings is an extremely necessary step in the current times.

MLA Malaiya emphasized that the kind of environment we will leave as a legacy for future generations depends on our current efforts. He clarified that merely planting trees is not enough; the proper nurturing of the planted saplings is also a collective responsibility for all of us. Continuous meaningful efforts must be made to create a clean and balanced environment.

Ensuring a Healthy Future for Coming Generations

The primary objective of this plantation program is not just to make the environment greener, but also to ensure a healthy and secure future for the coming generations. MLA Jayant Malaiya specifically stressed that considering the growing threats of pollution and climate change today, tree plantation should become a mass campaign. Every citizen must play their role in this direction.

He stated that trees provide us with pure air, water, and life, hence their preservation is our moral responsibility. MLA Malaiya also underlined that planting saplings is not a one-time task; watching these plants grow and caring for them is equally important. He urged everyone present not only to protect the saplings they planted but also to inspire others to do the same. This collective effort can save our environment.

Participation of Forest Department and Local Activists

Officials from the Forest Department and local activists also actively participated in this important plantation program. Divisional Forest Officer Ishwar Jarande, Ranger Vikram Chaudhary, Deputy Rangers Ashish, Harishankar, and other Forest Department staff reiterated their commitment to making nature greener by planting trees.

Several local activists including Mahesh Patel, Manish Tiwari, Gaurav Patel, Rajendra Chaurasia, Monty Raikwar, Santosh Rohit, Amardeep Jain, Monu Rajput, and Akhilesh Singh Ghoshi were also present. All of them collectively contributed to environmental protection. Forest Department officials appreciated this campaign and stated that they will continue to organize such programs in the future to raise awareness about environmental protection among more people.

Local activists also understood the importance of planting saplings and called it a noble deed. Measures to secure forest land and prevent deforestation were also discussed on this occasion.
