AI-Based E-Checkgates Launched for Mineral Transport in Damoh
The Madhya Pradesh government has implemented a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) based, unmanned e-checkgate system to establish transparency and effective control in the state's mineral transportation sector. Under this new system, all vehicles carrying minerals are now required to be fitted with Radio-Frequency Identification (RF) tags.
According to directives issued by the Mineral Officer, vehicle owners must order and pay for these tags through the e-checkgate portal. This process needs to be completed within one month from October 7, 2026. It has also been clarified that the responsibility for the maintenance of these RF tags will lie with the vehicle owner.
Failure to maintain the tags can lead to serious consequences, as a damaged tag may result in the cancellation of the concerned vehicle's registration. This initiative aims to streamline mineral logistics and ensure compliance with transport regulations.
Workshop Held for Entrepreneurs on Business Expansion
In parallel, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department in Damoh has launched a two-day workshop under the 'RAMP' scheme at Mangalam Restaurant. The primary objective of this program is to train entrepreneurs, aspiring youth, and self-help groups in the district on crucial technical aspects such as financial awareness, business formalization, and quality improvement.
On the first day of the workshop, experts provided practical guidance to participants on subjects including the MSME Promotion Policy, ZED Certification, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). Managers from the District Trade and Industry Centre and representatives from various financial institutions also encouraged entrepreneurs to leverage government schemes for continuous business growth.
The second day of the workshop will feature training sessions on Startup Awareness and topics related to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This event marks a significant step towards making business operations more accessible and transparent at the local level.
