Health Centre Official Found Absent During Inspection
Damoh | August 29, 2026: District Collector Pratap Narayan Yadav conducted an unannounced inspection of the Health Wellness Centre in Futurakala, Damoh district, on Friday. During the inspection, the centre's Chief Health Officer (CHO), Sangeeta Lodhi, was found to be absent from her workplace.
Action Taken and Consequences
This negligence of duty was taken extremely seriously. In light of this unauthorized absence, the Block Medical Officer (BMO) of Community Health Centre, Batiagarh, has been instructed to issue an immediate show-cause notice to CHO Sangeeta Lodhi. This action aims to seek an explanation regarding her absence from duty.
Salary Deduction and Further Action Threatened
As per the order issued by the district administration, three days' salary of CHO Sangeeta Lodhi will be deducted. Furthermore, if she fails to provide a satisfactory explanation within the stipulated time frame, strict departmental action will be proposed against her.
