Damoh Celebrates Rani Avantibai Lodhi's 195th Birth Anniversary with Tiranga Yatra; State Minister Pays Homage

Commemorative Event Held in Damoh

A grand Tiranga Yatra was organized in Damoh to celebrate the 195th birth anniversary of Veeraangana Rani Avantibai Lodhi. A respectful program was held at the statue of Veeraangana Rani Avantibai Lodhi located at Jatashankar, organized by the District Lodhi Kshatriya Samaj.

State Minister Addresses Gathering

The event was graced by the presence of the State Minister for Culture, Tourism, Religious Trust and Religious Endowments, Independent Charge, Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi stated that immortal martyrs belong to no single community, but their contributions inspire the entire society.

“The Tiranga Yatra has been taken out as a tribute to the program of Veeraangana Rani Avantibai, with the objective of remembering the immortal martyrs,” he added.

The minister cited examples of numerous figures like Chandrashekhar Azad, Rani Avantibai, Rani Durgavati, and Jhalkari Bai, who confronted invaders and defended the nation. He emphasized that heroines and immortal martyrs have consistently played crucial roles in safeguarding the country.

Focus on Education and Societal Development

Damoh MP Rahul Lodhi also shared his thoughts at the event, asserting that progress is certain when work is done in the right direction. He urged the community to prioritize their children's education to foster a better society. MP Rahul Lodhi underscored that investing in children lays the foundation for a robust and progressive society.

Hata MLA Umadevi Khatik called upon attendees to draw inspiration from Veeraangana Rani Avantibai Lodhi. She encouraged everyone to dedicate themselves to the honor, pride, and prestige of the nation, following the example of Rani Avantibai. MLA Umadevi Khatik lauded the Veeraangana's sacrifice and bravery, motivating the audience to walk in her footsteps.

At the occasion, floral tributes were offered at the statue of Veeraangana Rani Avantibai Lodhi, paying homage to her legacy.
