Damoh: Administration Cracks Down on Six Illegal Clinics in Jabera, Seizes Medicines

Administration Takes Strict Action Against Illegal Clinics in Jabera

Damoh | October 15, 2026 - The administration in the Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh has intensified its crackdown on illegal clinics operating under the guise of healthcare services in the Jabera region. Under the guidance of District Collector Pratapnarayan Yadav and Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Rakesh Rai, a joint team of the health and revenue departments conducted surprise inspections at six such clinics in Jabera and surrounding rural areas that were functioning without necessary permits.

This action has sent a wave of panic among those engaged in the illegal medical practice in the area. The team was led by Block Medical Officer Dr. Rahul Jain and Tehsildar Ashutosh Gupta. The joint operation included Medical Officers Dr. Abhishek Modi, Dr. Hiralal, Nayab Tehsildar Rajesh Sahu, Pharmacists Sunil Soni and Lokesh Tiwari, BAM Anshu Gupta, along with police personnel who executed the action.

Illegal Medicines Found in Sadak Hardua, Proposal Sent to District Administration

During the raid, the joint team conducted a thorough inspection of a clinic operating in village Sadak Hardua. Upon investigation, the team found various types of medicines at the location, which were seized on the spot. A detailed proposal for further legal action against this clinic has been sent to the district administration.

This action by the administration demonstrates that serious steps are being taken against medical establishments operating illegally. Other clinics in Jabera and nearby villages were also inspected. However, these clinics were found to be closed at the time of the inspection. The administration believes this could be another method of illegal operation and such establishments will be closely monitored.

Ensuring Safe Healthcare Services is the Main Objective

The primary objective of this joint action by the health department and administration is to ensure that all clinics operating in the region comply with necessary permits and adhere to prescribed medical standards. The administration's effort is to provide quality and safe healthcare services to the general public, rather than non-standardized treatments that put lives at risk.

This action sends a clear message that any negligence or violation of rules in the operation of healthcare services will not be tolerated.
