Guna, September 30, 2026 - A grand cultural event was held in Guna on September 28, 2026, to celebrate the 119th birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter, Shaheed Bhagat Singh. The program, organized by the Bhagat Singh Yaadgar Manch at the library premises, was presided over by its convener, Rakesh Mishra.

Attendees paid their respects at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh memorial, as well as at the memorials of freedom fighters Dharmaswaroop Saxena and Rajarani Saxena. Young children conveyed a spirit of patriotism through their cultural performances, offering heartfelt tributes to Bhagat Singh with group dances and patriotic songs.

Promoting Unity and Progressive Thought

Songs like 'Tera Himalaya Akash Chhoo Le' and 'Tu Hindu Banega Na Musalman Banega' conveyed a message of unity and integrity. Additionally, a special bookmark was unveiled to mark the 200th birth year of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule. This bookmark features inspiring thoughts from great thinkers such as Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule, Fatima Sheikh, Lahuji Vastad, and Shivdas Ghosh.

Emphasis on Ideological Revolution

Addressing the gathering, trade union leader Narendra Bhadauria, along with Lokesh Sharma, Manish Srivastava, and Advocate Dayal Rahul, recalled the extraordinary struggles of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Speakers emphasized that true revolution stems not from physical force or weapons, but from intellectual clarity and conviction.

They highlighted the necessity of deeply studying Bhagat Singh's writings and documents to build a better and progressive society. The speakers underscored that reading and learning from books are essential for the development of a society based on logical and humane values. They pledged to disseminate the ideas of these great personalities to the masses, inspiring the youth.

The event motivated attendees to actively engage in the campaign for social change. Surendra Kumar expertly conducted the program, while the library in-charge, Pradeep R.B., extended his gratitude to all the visitors.
