Intensified Food Safety Checks in Bhind

The Food Safety Department in Bhind district has launched a special inspection campaign aimed at curbing adulteration in food products. Acting on the orders of Collector Kirodi Lal Meena, food sample checks were conducted on Wednesday.

Samples were collected from Jay Kumar Sweets in Pustak Bazar and a dairy located on ITI Road. Food Safety Officer Kiran Senger collected a ghee sample from the sweet manufacturing site of Jay Kumar Sweets. Additionally, milk and ghee samples were taken from Raghavendra Tomar's dairy on ITI Road.

Samples Sent for Analysis

All collected samples have been dispatched to the State Food Testing Laboratory in Bhopal for further examination. This action is part of a broader effort to ensure the quality and safety of food items available to the public.

Strict Action to Follow

According to Food Safety Department officials, if any form of adulteration is detected in the food samples upon receiving the investigation report, legal action will be initiated against the concerned establishments under the Food Safety and Standards Act. The department reiterated its commitment to providing pure and safe food products to the general public through this campaign.

On-Site Testing and Consumer Awareness

Furthermore, the Food Safety Department is conducting on-site testing of products like milk, ghee, and sweets at various establishments using a mobile food testing laboratory. The objective of this rapid testing is to immediately expose adulteration and raise consumer awareness.
